Our
team voted on the ideas submitted for our end of year 'bash'. The winning
suggestion this year was
WINE AND WILDLIFE which included a tour of Healesville Sanctuary
followed by a great lunch at De Bortoli's winery.
The company hired a
mini bus to transport the Team to the Yarra Valley. First stop was
Healesville Sanctuary, where we met our tour guide for a private tour
of the Sanctuary which finished with the fabulous Birds of Prey
demonstration. We then head off to De Bortoli's winery where we
sampled some of their wines on taste before sitting down to a relaxed
lunch. The weather was perfect so after lunch we relaxed on De
Bortoli's lawn before finishing the day at a local pub, enjoying a few
games of pool and chatting about the year that passed. |

In
October 2008 Jeanette Hockney and Mark Appleby, the new owners of Buckmaster Hawkey,
hosted a dinner to celebrate
the dedication of the company founder, Pam Newton.
The team at Buckmaster Hawkey produced a 'memories' book for
Pam that included
pictures and testimonials from clients, candidates and staff, past and present.
A great night was had by all.

TO OUR CHAMP !!
Debra
Conroy did herself proud at the 2007 Nationals!!
Debra has
been involved in archery for the past 13 years, mainly shooting a compound bow.
However over the past 12 months she has also shot a barebow recurve (where no
sights or stabilisers are permitted).
In
July 2007 Debra won both the State and National Barebow Recurve titles at the
2007 National Archery Indoor Championships which was conducted over the weekend
of the 28th and 29th July 2007. This event proved very successful with 668 entries
including archers from Norfolk Island and New Zealand.
The
Buckmaster Hawkey Team have decided that Debra should be nominated as our 'Inhouse
Bad Debt Collector'!! As Debra Manages our Temporary Staff Division we want to
remind our Temp Team that she is now even more qualified to ensure that they remain
focussed to fulfilling their reputation as 'The Best Temp Team in Town'!!

We
celebrated our 25th Year in business which culminated in our team enjoying an
end of year weekend away.
The competitive spirit came to the fore when playing
croquet and petanque.
